But you hadn't got the funds available, due to the many reasons I've banged on about before.
Namly, to investors you're a small club. -

If you want promising youth players, especially ones that fill the home grown quota, you need to pay a lot of money these days.
Or you could actually train the local kids from the community and see if any of them turn into £20m players?

Everton win more than 55%? of their matches with Gibson on the pitch and considering his low transfer fee is the ultimate moneyball transfer of last season.

You may be the more "real" club (supporters, league history, age, etc etc) but the number of people interested in Everton (worldwide) is less than Liverpool (worldwide).
Plus, LFC = wolves. Sleeping giant. -

FACTS.
That Gibson stat: who did they play, who else was in the Everton squad. It can be interrogated in many ways.

So, where will Will Hughes end up?

We are.
But it doesn't seem that currently includes a striker whose ready for a regular first team role.
Morgan (born in Liverpool) is 18, and should be ready in a few years.

Probably at Liverpool, as they were his team when growing up. I've started stock piling razor blades for the day it happens already.

I'm sure we've been through this before, but your academy hasn't really produced anything since the fine human being that is Stevie G.

Moyes has had fuck all to spend(due to our cunt Chairman Kenwright) and pulled some corkers out the hat. Give some helmets ££££££££ and they spunk it on shite
Whether Moyes had £5m or £50m to spend each transfer window he'd still get some ace players
Love to see Brenda, Harry, Hughes, Mancini etc with the same budget Moyes has had the last 10yrs

Not only are they happy having racists at the club, it now seems homophobia is fair game....well, Suso atleast thought it was
Fined £10k for calling Enrique 'gay'
How much should they fine themselves for sending 96 football fans to their deaths?

I am bored of reading Pisti's little circle jerk with Everton and Liverpool.

According to this article, Liverpool have the 60th best academy in the world (something to put in the trophy cabinet). However, it considers players that have spent three years at the club between the ages of 15 and 21 as Academy products, which in my view is a bit debatable.
Not even in the big four academies in England. Produced 10 players in recent times that are still playing in one of the big 5 leagues and 7 of them are fighting a relegation battle this season.

Exactly, most clubs generally see 'youth' as age 11 onwards....Osman, Rooney, Hibbert, Rodwell, Barkley

To be fair, I'd rather we spent £8m on Charlie Adam instead
