I have spoken to Alex and she is distraught; I have managed to calm her a little but she is devastated.
The small kitten drowned in the washing machine. She'd already checked once and somehow it was determined and got back without her realising.
I have told her not to blame herself, thIs is a terrible accident that could have happened to anyone - I know, (but there for the grace of god go I with my cat when it was a kitten).
