It certainly won't be ready for several months, due mainly to being flat-broke, but also concerns over provenance - not that any of my bikes have been a joke, but this is a 'stern-faced' build. I want it done properly, so waiting for/sourcing appropriate kit comes high on the list, rather than rushing things. I'm dying to get it done though.
Deciding between Shamals/Ventos won't be easy. From the viewing the Ventos are in better nick, which is not to say the Shamals were shabby. One of them will be the next significant purchase, by which time I'll be committed to doing the best I can with the bike, as the end result will be kept and ridden for many years. I see this build as payback for the shittiest year on record.
