thanks guys, apologies for being a NOOB :/
just noticed that someone asked about how much a Fuji track should cost - it was a 2007 in decent condition, one chip on the top tube, but straight, no dents or dings and mechanically sound. It had a new bottom bracket, a better saddle, a shimano front brake with gold finger lever and some fresh tyres. I paid £190 which I felt was fair - hope that helps

Bit of advice if possible,
I'm looking at getting a 2013 Fuji Track http://www.evanscycles.com/products/fuji/track-21-2013-track-bike-ec041929
OTP it's fixed but I wanted to add a freewheel cog and naively thought I could just add something like the following,
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=7805&gclid=CL2Mjcan4bUCFeXLtAode3gAEQ
Bloke at Evans said that it isn't something I could do as it's fixed.
Now I'm a bit of a noob so really need some advice.
Bike felt great to ride and I'm probably going to get but didn't want to have to buy whole new wheelset just for freewheel.
Can anyone help?!
Thanks -

He's talking out of his arse, the hub is flipflop and takes a freewheel.
-
• #2435
....so the singlespeed freewheel is all I need. I've reviewed a fair bit and thought all I need to do was screw them on in the same way you would a fixed cog but without the lockring - I guess because it's always going to turn one way unlike a fixed cog and never loosen.
Teach me for going to Evans but useful for test drives!!
Lovely ride though :) -

Yes you're correct, just buy a freewheel and attach it onto the thread, it will indeed self-tighten.

Doesn't it come with a freewheel any more? Mine did, but that was seven years ago. :)

Does anyone have any information about bottom brackets on 2010 Fuji Track Pro
all information I could find isBottom Bracket Fuji PGC Exterior Sealed Bearing
BB Shell Width UnspecifiedBy the looks of it, it is a Hollowtech II, so I wonder if I can fit Dura Ace one?

Hey Fabfinzz those are £50 eBay forks.
Worked a treat and tightened up the geometry slightly :)

Anyone know if it's possible to fit shimano Alfine 8 spd to a fuji classic 2013?

Why would you want to?

Classic Track is 120 spaced at the back. I think (may be wrong) the Alfines are 135 so it'd be pushing it. You could get it cold set wider (no idea how well this would work) or you could look at a 3 or 5 speed Sturmy Archer hub which come in 120.

Probably a similar reason as why posting that useless comment.

Now that's what I call a reply, thanks

To be honest, I can't see why would you want to do that on a cheap frame.
Why the need for 8 speed?
-
• #2447
If he has all the parts laying around then I say go for it!
Cheap frame but they ride great, Geometry is spot on!
-
• #2448
3 speed hub I can understand. 8 speed = buy a pompetamine or something with regular gears.

Lovely. Saddle angle though!?
Heartbreak - Pedal threads are the same for every bike. No matter what you get they will fit!
