Hope my team will be registred for this, Imperia Tourney was great last year, indoor but not too slippery and big courts.. perfect, and also hope London will be there.

As James's league didn't get voted in I (or we) will be organising a 5 player tournament at some point.
I suspect probably not until the spring though, if there is interest I'd like to do it as a proper tournament, over 2 days, with prizes, booked courts etc, not like the casual tournaments like the ABC.

full size court across basketball area at Downs I think.
I'm up for it. Draft or do people just register 5 player teams?
-
• #55
But that would only be one court then? You really need at least two courts, otherwise it could be many hours between games.
I'm talking about 5 player bench minor style games, not 5 a side on the pitch (just to clarify)
Yes, no draft, just register 5 player teams.

You could invite some of the horse polo teams to play!?
-
• #57
Teams of 7 and One massive court at downs would be ace.
Anyway, well done for stepping up once again John.
-
• #58
no to teams of 7, it's too big, James and I are agreed that 5 is the perfect number in our opinion.
-
• #59
Excellent format John, hope you'll be able to host people because really want to play this tournament.
-
• #60
Yeah, if we do a 2 day tournament (which it really has to be with long games), then yes we will host people.

Whens the next UK tourney? Bristol? do it do it
-
• #62
We are talking about doing an early Spring tourney but not a Winter one as the weather is too unreliable as our court is outdoors. We will probably announce this over the next few weeks. This is extra to the UK Champs if we decide to host that too.

I seriously think we need to talk about maybe hostin the euros? What about the Brighton courts? Need to talk to Tim and the rightin Uni if we wanna do this. Does anyone know who we contact to put a bid in for the euros?
-

I'm sure that Chris explained that you had to be a student to use the Brighton Uni courts and now that Tim has gone back to Bristol, there is nobody in bike polo who could get permission to use them. It might be worth seeing if an external hire was possible somehow but I think they've tried that before?

Not really a rumour, but if anyone is thinking of coming stateside, you should come to Seattle in March for the Emerald City Open.
Gonna be pretty awesome, 3 courts, good surface and the Means, Beaver Boys and all of the Cascadian slayers in attendance.
Would be great to see some London peeps there.

As John said.
Bench will be cool, Snoops and I am going to be there, but LA is a truly awful place.
I can't understand why anyone would live there.
