That has to be about the most idiotic pile of wank ever to disgrace the shelves of TFG, and they set the bar pretty high.

    No, it needs gears+brakes + 3ttt 51.151 handlebar + rear disc
    (C-record or Dura Ace 74**)

I have thought about it, but not really necessary, tensioned the chain just fine and its actually a beater

  • The current setup on my Italian steed. Should get some wider riser bars or maybe a baby bullhorn.

edit. Mine's the one with the drive side visible. The other one is also a Rossin, but painted celeste with Bianchi decals due to some weird sponsorship deal in the 1990s (it's not mine, the guy behind it owns it).

  • wish mine looked like those

  • Some lovely lo pro's here, I better clean mine up and take some snaps!

    Pretty much my thoughts.

I didn't stick on risers and convert mine to fixed gear to look cool, it just makes it more practical and means id use it way more.

i did think a lot about building it as a 8 speed, bullhorns and spd-sl's, but id use it like once every few months in the summer, pointless.

  • its a low pro tt bike, its never been meant to act practical, its been built to go fast.

  • well i'm only speaking for my own bike but its good for a few things, like storing indoors, fitting in a car, taking on the train and taking on holiday, but then its still fast through town...

more practical off the bike i guess.

  • Eddy Merckx TT / Columbus TSX / Dura Ace 740x / Mavic 3G

    Cheers

(yes, posted it before... but better pic now)

That wouldn't work, too little torque.

  • That wouldn't work, too little torque.

a: bullshit, F1 engines provide plenty of torque at the wheels by using reduction gearing
b: wouldn't the auxiliary small-block V8 sort that out even if you had a clue?

  • It's got less to do with torque rather than the torque to traction ratio. If anything it'll have too much torque...

Besides, both of you need to realise it's a photoshop. The more pressing reason as to why it wouldn't work is that you don't have a towing point on an F1 car....
