This is Fil Wood the guy that did my phoenix, want something like this but with a winter rather than autumn theme...
Maybe make the half sleeve I have on my right arm into a full sleeve with some bear action.
Really want a traditional Japanese style bicycle themed sleeve on my left forearm, but not sure how that would work in a traditional style... Not sure about forearm tattoos either I think it's a big step.

^^ is getting a forearm tattoo really that big a step? Long sleeve shirt, boom, no tattoo (having said that, the tattoo on my wrist comes down to below the sleeve on most shirts.)

Here's a dodgy photo of my latest, a boxing hare
Nice.

Well, everyone has a different view I guess. To me, yes, its would be a big step. I like being able to wear a shirt with the sleeves rolled up and still cover (mostly) my ink. I always like to think I can conceal my tattoos from people I don't want to share them with... One of my friends recently got his first tattoo, a dagger on the inside of his forearm. So not an issue for him.
I always said I would only get my forearms done if I were in a position with work where I had some solid idea of my future... But yeah, everyone is different.

Fair enough. I've never felt self concious about my tattoos or discussing them with people and I don't think I'll ever have a job where having visible tattoos is really an issue (a couple of guys that I work with at the moment are absolutely covered in tattoos, hands, necks and everything).

Also, what are people using for aftercare? I fucking hate Bepanthen, I think it's disgusting so I used it for my very first tattoo and never again. Plus I've gone vegan since then and it has lanolin in. I've been using mostly Lush products, a shower cream called "Dream Wash" for washing them and a hand cream called "Handy Gurugu" to keep them protected and moisturised. I'd definitely reccomend both, particularly the hand cream, it's nice and thick like bepanthen but without the horrible greasiness.

i use bepanthen.
the secret is to put the tube in hot water for a few minutes before use, goes liquid and applies a lot eawsier.no good if you cant use it though.

for my first small tattoo's I used Savlon, don't know whether it was any good but the ink seems to have stayed fine and it didn't scab too much.

Acriflex every time - burns & scars cream

Another vote for Bepanthen here. I got slack this year and had a couple done where I just used E45 or whatever moisturiser the Mrs had lying around for aftercare - scab city.

Yay, it's the biannual tattoo aftercare debate!

it isn't a debate, LTC just said they can't use Bepanthen, so what's the next best thing?

I used TFB's 'tattoo creme' the first time round. It was a bit too moist. Tattoo ended up being sticky all the time and stocking to my tee shirts. Second tattoo, bepanthen was much better, healed quicker, less scabbing. Obviously that is no use to LTC. But super cheap and works wonders.

Main thing I've found is after the initial healing process with bepanthen or similar, I use a decent moisturiser for 4-6 weeks afterwards, keeping the skin hydrated while it fully heals.

I think I'll stick to my lush stuff, it keeps scabbing and fading to a minimum and I like being able to recognise the ingredients by name without an encyclopedia #hippyretardlife

After Inked cream is vegan and not tested on animals.

• #6169
And better than bepanthen imho. Less slime.

^^ yeah that stuff's ok actually, it doesn't feel super gross either.

Vit E ointment is good - if you can get it over here? Weber do it in North America

I took Valerie's advice after my last one and used the Dr Bronner's soap she recommended to wash it and that's all. I didn't use anything else on this one apart from a little moisturiser when it was going through the 'stretched tight' stage of healing and it's been a much more pleasant process than my last one tbh.

Guy le Tatooer (again, yes..)Wow, TK, yeah I think some chiling out is in order, or try & at least put your point across with a bit less conviction, unless u want to come across as hostile & a bit anal
Pardon me?
I did explain rationally why I think your 'bumping' is stupid - as did snotty. You know a great thing about LFGSS is that it isn't such a messed up forum as a lot of others are.
There are some people who care that it stays that way, and yes they come of a bit arrogant maybe,
but I'm glad that they're there, really -
because folks that mess up the place because their 'laptop is too slow' to perform a search,
or who simply don't grasp the concept of subscribing to threads should maybe listen and learn -
your point "fuck it, the internet is full of pointless things anyway" is so dumb it hurts.Welcome to the forum!
