Yep. Ordered something like 48 hours ago. Told 4-5 weeks wait. Amazing.
I'm going to get a decent case on my next day off. Cheers.
Damn, that's pretty quick from Google. I ordered my nexus 4 on wednesday morning and it said 4 - 6 weeks, but now it seems I could get a phone this side of Christmas.
Looks like I had better confirm my new case with murtle and pay up. -

Am I missing something? I want to play a YouTube video in one tab whilst browsing on a nexus 7 but it stops playing if I switch tabs.
And how can I return to the top of a page quickly after scrolling to bottom of huge page of Google reader entries.

• #10058
Normally video doesn't play if you lock the screen or switch apps.

Yeah but it's happening in chrome where I can set something playing on a PC in one tab and view another with the audio in the background. Music service works fine in the background whilst browsing chrome but YouTube craps out

On a PC, the flash plugin doesn't let the animation know about the visibility of the container.
The music service runs as a service. The youtube app isn't designed to run when it isn't in the foreground.

I tried the AVG security lost phone tracer thingy and it's shit. I googled it and even the internet says it's shit. Any recommended alternatives? I was looking at Phone Locator PRO, anyone tried this?

I'm due a phone upgrade soon and wondered what's available by HTC running Android. I have an HTC Desire atm, but can't see anything else around that I might be able to upgrade to. Is the Desire still the main one?

One X+ is their current best offering.

That new samsung galaxy camera looks quite nice.
-
• #10070
as a phone, it's 1.5" too thick.
as a camera, it's overpriced for its capabilities and image quality.
it's a solution looking for a problem.

There is definitely a meme for this.

Yeah, just shove an eye-fi wi-fi sd card in the camera of your choice. Hey presto, you can internets your slr pics using your phone.

So, Nexus 7.
Those who have one. Is it good enough for casual browsing, watching tv in bed/on the train, social media, and maybe some light document reading on google docs?
My main concern is that 7" might be slightly too small for watching shows? Opinions from current owners?
-
• #10074
Actually, those use-cases are pretty much all I use it for.
That and if I have to go to meetings and might demo something I leave the laptop at home and take the Nexus 7.
