Why would you do that?

You see bodie getting pulled up by the community for carrying a chip and attacking you (the right response to shit that people say), and your response is to start name-calling more (the wrong response)?

marcom, all that will happen by your post is that you shift far more people back to calling you names, rather than have the one or two who currently do get taken to task.

People amaze me. You don't need enemies, you're your own worst one.

In general, how to deal with others:

Attack the action or idea and not the person.

Seriously, you'll win every time.

Don't say: You're a wanker.

Say: I'm not saying you're a wanker, but these actions appear to be pretty wankerish because of X, Y and Z.

And mean it... don't carry a chip on your shoulder about the use of the word nigger or any name-calling... address the current event (name-calling, racism, sexism, whatever the hell it is) and once done forgive and forget and lose the chip on your shoulder.

Not only does this approach show great grace and character, but seriously... one can never lose if you're not engaging in the name-calling yourself and you walk away after you've taken someone to task (in one or two posts).

But doing what marcom just did... to take a situation almost resolved and start calling someone a wanker... wow, how to escalate, pour salt on the wound, and to blacken your own name.

For a brief moment there marcom held higher ground whilst bodie was taken to task, and now marcom is in the gutter and I bet if I don't post this that bodie would follow him into it as the name-calling escalated.

Sheesh... what childish and idiotic behaviour.

Note: I'm not calling you children or idiots, just that the behaviour currently makes it look so.
