eBay and Craigslist finds

For a human, if I place a bid and I'm the top bidder, it it very unlikely that they'll be able to revise their bid in that time?
Although if the max bid is above mine, doesn't matter when it's bid before or after (by snipe software) then I'll lose and won't be bothered because it's out of my price range.

I must say I've never used sniping software so am a luddite in that respect.

if you think about it, having a higher bid already typed in the window, all you need to do is click the mouse - you can do that even within 1 second
