  • Looking for a cheap 56-58cm road frame suitable for a fixed conversion for winter.

Fender mounts would be a plus but not necessary.

    Show me what youve got.

  • what sort of money You are looking to spend?

  • No more than £80.

  • I have got

Puch Pacemaker from the late 70s
    Steal frame
    size medium
    5 speed huret rear mech
rebuilt a few years ago, including new rear wheel new tyres, tubes , chain etc. And used for the London to Cambridge, about 3 years ago, before being put in to storage.
Has backwards pointing slotted drop out so would suit conversion to single speed very well

Available to collect form London or Cambridgeshire. £100

  • You have PM with some details

  • I was going to list this winter hack full bike but that's a bit rich for your budget... 60cm ST, 58cm TT, internal cable routing, 90mm stem, new risers, new grips, 2x5 speeds Sachs-Huret throughout, new 700cx25 tyres, frame mounted pump, Millremo mudguards, bell, Cobra saddle - all in great working order and good condition, no play anywhere, ready to ride... All stickers are removable. Tubing is quite light, I would guess 501.

Was going to ask around £200

  • Lovely bike but really worth 200?

  • Lovely bike but really worth 200?

It's always tricky to price these - the quality of built is much better than all the asian shit churned by the mass makers.

Tyres were £30 a pair, mudguards £20, bars £10 so that's £60 in parts before I serviced the bike.

A travel card for Zone 1-3 costs £136.80 a month so £200 for a good bike is good value in my eyes.

I can't really give it away for free but the price is indeed negotiable.

  • But that £60 isn't £60 at resale value is it, if your lucky it's half of that.

I'll think about it, really like the bike saying that.

  • It rides really well, think about it - if money is an issue, I can come down on price.

I've also got drops or bullhorns if you prefer another set up.

The bike is in Chancery Lane so you can always come and take it for a spin.

    Cheers

    Vince

  • ^ You are a gent Vince, but I suspect that 61cm frame will be too large for the wanter.
