woah woah, now there's loads of options.
Those Swiss ones are nice, where can you get them from?
I've never liked those multi-tool style fold up ones, I just can't get along with them. They start squeaking when you open them up, they lose tension so the 4mm starts flopping out whenever you need the 6mm. It's just hassle when you need to service a tool every month.

There used to be a guy selling them on ebay but it doesn't look like he is anymore. Maybe pm Fred, he did a bulk order and should still have the guy's contact details.

Toolshack are also a good supplier, and stock Teng stuff which is incredibly well made. I have ordered from them many times.

Hmm... at 33 Euros those Swiss ones are perhaps a bit too expensive. I am a fan of T-Handled allen keys for use in the garage, but no good for keeping in the bag on longer rides.
I think I'm back to the ones on Wiggle, or those Teng ones from Toolshack. If I end up wrecking them then perhaps I'll save up and buy a set of £30ish allen keys

Seemed like the appropriate thread.
Can anyone recommend a set of allen keys. I was going to treat myself to these:

I just want a set of good quality reasonably priced ones.
Any advances?
Cheers.

I'd get the Teng ones that Sharkstar recommended since the Lifeline are discontinued.

Hugo7, look no further than Bondhus. I've been abusing the same set both professionally and less profesionally for over 20 years. They're black ones, which may be tougher;

Longer ones are generally more useful if you get tight bolts. T shaped ones are very handy too.

Cheers all.
I'll have a ponder. The Wera ones appeal as they've got the markings/numbering on them.
If I go for the bondhus ones I think I'd go for the long ones... although is 15pc over kill?

and the wera are stainless steel, machined and some sort of freeze tempered.

Wera are good, use them at work, but don't like the sleeve on them. Personally i use the long PB Swiss. Yes, they are expensive, but I can't fault them in any way. Picking a size by colour makes life a lot easier as well, though obviously there's ways of doing that yourself cheaper.

I've bought 2 sets of Draper Allen keys in 1985, one metric, one imperial. must have been about 20 in total. Still got at least 15, never broke one.
I bet they aren't made like that any more !!!! -

Theres a set of these that Park do, cost about the same but are the pro workshop ones, come in a blue painted finish but with chromed ends and they are VERY fucking good. I've been abusing a set for 4 months now and not one has rounded off or deformed yet (workshop use).

A search yielded nothing so I want to ask if anyone can recommend a set of allen keys?
I've had a fair few sets of allen keys in my time, all have been various quality but none I'd really recommend to anyone or actively treasure.
The best definitely were a set I got in a Honda motorbike tool kit, but I had a load of tools nicked once from a shady skatepark and unfortunately they went with them.
I always seem to round my allen keys and I know I'm using them correctly (well how hard is it? Just don't lean on them with all your weight and keep them at the correct angle), I just seem to buy poor quality ones.
