Also, I got this one Xmas, it was crap. The circuit was a dull figure of eight, and my grandad drove a Mini Metro
My uncle had this one, with a humpback bridge (that my sister stood on and snapped one Christmas) which was far superior in every way
I trashed my Metro's in order to get my dad to get me some better cars, but he saw through it and I was left with a useless, car-less scalextric set.
Spookily, trashing small 80's hatchbacks was something I would become fairly proficient at as I entered my late teens.
