She is currently at home and undergoing rehabilitation. The car that hit her, forensics indicate, was travelling in excess of 70mph at the moment of impact but, presumably faster when it started to brake. She is so luckily to be alive.

just makes me realise how lucky i've been having cycled for thousands of km's round SE asia, as well as UK and Ireland having done LEJOG twice on A roads and never have any incidents like this.
