If anyone wants real measurements from a real bike give me a shout, we have 45, 52, 54, 56, 58 and 60cm bikes at the velodrome. Possibly getting some 50cm soon too.
Without measuring anything, they don't seem very long. Our bikes haven't got massively long stems but they ain't tiny either and we are generally putting people on a bike at least one size up from what they expect/ride on the road in order to get them stretched out properly. If you're using it for fixie skidding rather than track riding this might not apply so much.
