"We had 65% possession tonight. To me, that's more important than goals."
Marvellous Brendan. You are fitting in to Liverpool very well. Now tell us about the shirt sponsors.

The players had no sparkle. The crowd soon lost its. No anti Benitez stuff until the final whistle.A couple of pro RDM chants. Not sure if the subdued crowd subdued the players or vice versa.
Torres has lost the support that he has enjoyed for the past two years. There was considerable impatience with him. After all he is the player everyone has been backing solidly and who managed to take the gloss off the greatest night in the club's history by slagging the club off and who is,. apparently the catalyst for the selection of the new manager.
Benitez stupidly wore a pink tie.He does not understtand the club or its supporters. He has no passion. He doesn't seem to understand what a London derby is and how teams like Fulham will play out of their skin to scrape a point, particularly away from home.
He didn't bring Moses on. We had nothing up front. Fulham may be a team of aging crocks but our players looked like young kids playing against adults. No force,. No muscle. No shots.
No goals in two games. Dropped four points on ManU at home in both games and against opposition that we should have trashed.
Pathetic.

That's a pretty damning assessment. Was Rapha really wearing a pink tie?
-
• #70385
It looked nice, but a bit expensive.

How the fuck we never won that I'll never know

Who's a good referee according to you?
-
• #70388
Iain Dowie on SSN:
Brendan rodgers will be delighted with the display.
Liverpool were magnificent.
Liverpool put 29 crosses into the box.
So.....
They lost, only scored themselves with a laughable own goal and they won the crossing.

Who's a good referee according to you?
I took my Derby supporting mate - obviously neutral and even he said that's one of the strangest most one sided refereeing performances he's ever seen
He was that shit

• #70390
I wasn't trolling. Who is the best English referee over the last two seasons?

I wasn't trolling. Who is the best English referee over the last two seasons?
I couldn't give a fuck, they're generally all shite and are seemingly getting worse season on season
-
• #70393
You'd think with all the scrutiny these days it woul improve but sadly I agree.

Looking at the highlights and reading the match report, we took our foot off the gas once we were two goals to the good.
Gallas isn't upto much nowadays, he's getting along on determination and cussedness, rather than anything else.. Him and Dawson together is like a timebomb waiting to go off.. Either with someone else is fine together.. Nitroglycerine.Dempsey still looks to be finding his feet, Bale looks like he's trying to win games by himself, might be letting the adulation go to his head. Having Dembele back gave us a bit more thrust in midfield, and I've still got a man crush on Vertonghen, and prefer him to be holding the center rather than Gallas, especially when he launches forward on one of his runs..
Got the win without playing well, will probably have to be better to get past Tony Soprano and Berbatov on the weekend. But still fifth and three points off third, so we must be doing something right..
Swansea look tasty, and did a number on West Brom, Michu would have been a bargain at twice the price, with the goals he's putting in. Think the battle to mid table obscurity to europa league qualifier will be the one to watch, probably more interesting than who will actually win the league...
ps, Lloris showed why he's being chosen in front of Friedel with his ability to come off his six yard line and sweep up those hopeful punts behind the central defenders. He makes alot of good decisions..

I don't know how an why you make these pointless assessments when you don't go the match and your opening gambit is:
'From watching the highlights and reading match reports'

After the last Football ride he tried organising where no cunt turned up I can quite comfortably bet £10 that no more than 4 people will turn up for this one too - Cornetto included
We'll probably still win everything this season... We're cursed, Rafa will die in the job....
