• I sold all my Canon gear ages ago, and this lens has been on loan to a friend since then. They've finished with it now, and have given it back to me, so it's up for grabs.
It's in great condition (few cosmetic marks, but completely functional), and has been modified so the aperture is adjustable with a standard M42-EF mounts, and so that it focuses properly to infinity. I am always surprised by how sharp it is, and it gives nice contrast.
It includes an M42-EF mount converter, and an official Canon rear-cap, as well as a full set of colour filters (for B+W), and a lens-bag.

I used to use it mainly on a 20D (crop sensor) for skate/BMX stuff. Here are a few sample shots:

It is crazily wide on a 5D (full frame). 180 degrees from corner-corner. I can't find any photos for now, but I can dig some up, or you can google "Zenitar 16mm full frame" or something. It's also worth noting: It clears the mirror of any Canon full frame camera with no issues, as far as I'm aware. Used it with no problems on a 5D and 1Ds.

The cheapest they seem to go for on eBay is £125 (without any adapters), and most of the new ones don't focus to infinity, apparently, so it's a lucky-dip. This is a good one, and I'm offering it for the bargain price of £SOLD inc P+P.

  • Nikon man so not interested in the lens unfortunately but love the sample shots, fantastic work.

  • Thanks. You can buy an M42 to Nikon (or most other current SLR mounts) for just a few quid on eBay, by the way. Link
