The number of cyclists killed on Britain’s roads this year has overtaken last year’s toll and at the present rate is on course to be the highest since 2007. Cyclists have been dying on British roads at a rate of more than two a week, research by The Times shows.
A male cyclist became the 109th to die in Britain since January 1 after being involved in a crash with a tractor in Aberdeen last night. Earlier in the day a 35-year-old man also died after being struck by a lorry as he cycled through Barking in East London on Monday night. -

to clarify - reports say it was a tractor unit (front part of an artic hgv, presumably without trailer), not an agricultural-type tractor.
RIP.
