^^I've got some Regatta ones too from the army surplus store about 15 years ago. They were less than a tenner. Still going strong, breathable enough to cope with a short hop at a relaxed pace (should be going more slowly in the rain anyway).
The best feature is the pocket holes - no pockets, but a slit so that you can easily reach into your trouser pockets. Doesn't compromise waterproofness. They have a pop-stud to slightly the gather each ankle, but I don't bother with that and just use elasticated trouser clips/bands anyway.
