I once went on a ride with Beryl. Actually that's not true, a group of us (including BB) set off together but that was the last we saw of her until the finish.

My wife did and said it was excellent.
She, the GLW, has, however , not been inspired to take up Time Trialling.

Maxine Peake has written a play about Beryl Burton, arguably one of our greatest cyclists and now one of the most over looked.
It's on tomorrow @ 2.15 on Radio Four , just after the Archers.
