Where are these deprived areas? A lot of Aberdeen may look deprived but quite often the people who live there are not.
That like saying London is not deprived for the same reason.

Not local anymore, at least not permanently.
I had to look up "middlefield" as I know it as manor. It used to be very bad, admittedly but has improved in recent years quite a bit. I wouldn't class Northfield(apart from byron) tilly or torry as deprived. Complete shitholes but not deprived.
I still don't understand how this has anything to do with a golf course and hotel out at balmedie?
As a resident of Middlefield until 2010, and a resident of Tillydrone I can confirm you are talking out your arse!
As for your last question, it all went downhill from post #48......... -

Sir Alun wouldn't be wealthy today, he happened upon a tech boom and had no truck punting it as cheaply as possible.
Trump was given all his start-up capital.

He really really is a massively clueless bell.
I take it you're not local before you ask? May I point you in the direction of Middlefield, one of the most deprived areas in the whole of Scotland! Huge unemployment, chronic anti social behaviour, the housing situation there is horrible as the council haven't invested there in years due to a new road supposedly going through part of the area, still waiting for funding to do that though......
Other areas you could include are Northfield, especially the Byron area, Tillydrone, and parts of Torry, spend some time here, open your eyes and see what's around you.......
