Casco Warp plus specs?

Any glasses wearing Casco owners?

I fancy getting a Casco but don't want to have to put contacts in to ride so trying to find out if glasses will fit under the visor.

Or can I remove the visor? Maybe negates half the reason for getting the Casco then though?

Nope, you have to wear contact lenses.
And removing the visor will bugger up the aerodynamics

I'm not even nearly fast enough to benefit from the aerodynamics of the Casco or anything but I'm needing a new helmet and fancied looking like Hoy etc especially at the Brooks Cycles price.

You really need contacts, might even have to trim your eyelashes too as the visor really is close to the face. You might be able to fashion a DIY visor to fit glasses.

Tried another one today after seeing that the owner was a glasses wearer.

If you loosen it right off and put the visor on the nose then slide helmet on it fits over glasses and once on the head there's loads of room for specs under the visor. Removal is much easier, just slips up right over the specs.

I'm still way too slow to be wearing a Casco anyway but this guy bought one and has been keeping it at the velodrome so his mrs doesn't know he bought it but he now thinks she has bought him one for Christmas so I might buy it off him.

I just tried this and it works ok with some of my glasses, not all.
It might just revolutionise those early morning sessions!

However, I would add that your glasses need to be close fitting, and tight fitting so they don't slide off or down whilst you're in the riding position.

Thought mine were quite big/chunky but fitted fine.

I think that the extra coverage of the Casco (as opposed to a std road helmet) might help hold specs in place. I don't generally have a problem with slippage anyway.
