There's a photo of one at this year's Wildlife Photographer of the year exhibit (to highlight the cruelty) which is absolutely heartbreaking.

What is the best approach when you see someone with a baby monkey/porcupine/mogwai/whatever offering pictures with tourists for cash? It boils my piss and telling them to fuck off while giving them 'a look' doesn't shame them as much as you'd like.

It's one thing in the 3rd World, but was seeing it in Mexico a few weeks back and, as stated previously, piss, boiling, etc.

Horses are better looked after, less averse to being in captivity as they're a bit thicker, and ain't chained up most of the day. Although you do make a point it's not quite the same.
