dolan track champion 60cm..? £140
-
• #1303
I have a blue falcon (reynolds tubing but not 531). I think it is 60cm, and £35 would do me.

What's included with the Falcon frame?
Ideally need something I can just chuck my wheels and a chain on, but could be tempted either way.
Have you got any photos? -
• #1305
i was thinking just the frame for that, although I can include a bunch of other parts as I have loads of spares. I'll think about how much it's all worth and take some pics of everything this evening

All I was really thinking I needed would be a bottom bracket and headset, but it doesn't matter too much.
There's not a massive rush, if you could send me a photo that'd be great, still trying to work out whether I want to get my frame sorted or get a new one. -
• #1307
yeah i've got a bb and headset, call it like £50? I'm so lazy, I didn't get round to pics. I'll do it tomorrow, promise

-
• #1312
sorry but only a fucking idiot would pay that much. i was thinking about selling my dolan track champion for £350.. maybe i just massively undervalue all my bikes though

Agreed it is a bit much. I was putting my holdsworth up for £250 and as a geared bike has a lot more to it... incidentally:
Here is the falcon frame in a previous build. with a headset and bottom bracket I'd say £50, got some other parts lying around if you need any of them.
The red bike is my holdsworth, £250 would be lovely. It has shimano 600 parts apart from the brakes which are 105. at the moment is in need of tape and possibly a bottom bracket service.
I think I put my galaxy (green) up for £500 so I'll drop that to £450

I agree it's high (and maybe your Dolan should be higher too!) but to the right person it'll be worth it. Everything on the bike's better quality than any otp bike you can pick up in Cambridge and the price puts it cheaper than most of them too. Just a case of waiting, I reckon... ;)

Don't forget Cambridge bicycle inflation x20, can't even pick up a cheap beater. Probably better off putting it on gumtree.
-
• #1316
Way ahead of you sir!
Sold a true beater on there for an astonishing £250 a few months back, I'd acquired the entire thing for about £140 myself, I just put it together - call it commission...

i was asking £200 for my giant tcr, full bike with full campag. glad i didnt sell it now.
-
• #1318
Think it just depends how badly you need to shift it/the money, really...
If you can hang onto it until the right buyer comes along - clearly none of you lot! - then you might as well!

No saddles im afraid, sorry dude

Have decided I'll be sorting out my frame (mostly due to the fact I've run out of monies already), anyone got a vice I can borrow to pop the cotter pins out of my cranks?
Having said that, does anyone know of an easy method of removing them that doesn't require a vice? -

Campag cassette?

• #1325
Shimano im afraid.
I'm after a fairly cheap frame that I can just transfer all my parts onto and ride to uni and back on.
Looking in the region of £30-£50 tops, which I know is low but I just can't really justify spending too much money at the minute.
I'm 6'3" but have ridden smaller frames without much trouble, I can't say the size would matter too much as long as it's not stupidly tiny!
Let me know what you've got guys, I'm based just off Mill Road toward Coleridge Rd, could realistically meet anywhere central-ish.
