Today is a sad day, as I am selling my beloved Cannondale. Going to be starting racing and have purchased a brand new bike for that.
Anyway, a short story - frame was imported from uncle from Japan, who is also mad with bikes, and this is a colour scheme you can't get here as it is a special issue in Team Diadora colours. To my understanding, 'C9', as opposed to CAAD9, refers to a team bike. This frame was made in 2008 and in the USA, the penultimate year before Cannondale moved their production to Taiwan (boo..).
Since getting the frame, I've built it up with stuff which I could afford.
Frame & fork: Team Diadora team issue CAAD9 50cm, Cannondale Premium 12k full carbon, 1-1/8"
Frame is in great nick after on/off use the last few years, never been abused or anything - apart from accidentally scraping stay (pictured) on brick corner when parking bike on a club. Few other not very noticeable scratches. Frame welds are perfect, and very carbon like!
Cable outers may need some replacing soon, as they're starting to make some ticking noises, rear tyre is quite worn.. but new outers and a rear tyre will be provided as part of the sale!
A better saddle (Fizik Arione, in silver and red) will also be supplied, as the current toupe is quite old and scuffed now.
Oh and bottle cages will be chucked in free.
All in all, this is a great bike! Rides amazingly, especially for an alu bike. Put a pair of bling wheels, you'll have yourself a weight weenie bike! I've had it hovering just above 7kg before.
This bike has also been registered on Bike Revolution, so if it gets stolen you can trace it down.
