When I say parts bin, I mean just a collection of parts..

I'm jealous that you manage to find a bike like that for a quid. I mean, ONE POUND!! Where do people find these bargains?!??
I think it looks good now. Needs a second brake though. ;-)
Does this bike qualify for the HHSB thread?

Hold fire until I put my ZIPP 3000 on it..
Hi all,
well, this is my Langdale 1989 653 54cm build.
I bought the frame knowing little about it, other than it was 653 with extremely tight clearances, I bought it for the grand price of a whole 100 pennies.
As soon as I got it home, I just had to whack some parts on it just to see what it would look like! I liked what I saw, but not this setup..

I then searched around my workshop for parts to build this bike up with..
I did start to build it up with NOS super record parts, but I got half way through it and came to the decision I didn't want to run that set-up over the winter, it would be a treat for the summer, here's a teaser..

Looked so sick with a HED disc..
I then decided to go for Shimano tri-colour 600 groupset (with the odd campy bit) for the winter:

and here she is now:

Like I say, this is a parts bin build, but I've fallen in love with this bike so much. Plan for around march time is to completely strip the bike, sand it and re-paint it as original, due to this does have quite a few chips on the pain and rub marks.
Future plans (march):
.put my ZIPP 440 on the front
.Fizik bar-tape
.super-record groupset
.carbon seatpost
.campag delta's
Let me know what you think!
