right, and i read that - but that was a second hand report, and i thought maybe someone who actually works for seedrs could explain this in more detail and also if they're doing anything to change it, as it seems (to me at least) that it's an extremely foolish way of doing it.
perhaps i should clarify that a little bit: it seems particularly foolish to keep people waiting for their own money if it's going to prevent them from investing.
however, i also asked the same thing of seedrs and got the following reply from jeff:
Deposits usually take 24 hours to clear through our system, sometimes slightly longer (not quite forever, but I appreciate it's not instantaneous either!). But you can go ahead and invest without the funds being in your account -- make the investment, and as long as the funds clear within seven days, the investment will go through.
I hope that helps, but please let me know if you have any other questions.
Kind regards,
Jeff Lynn
so, i hope that helps people who are currently having difficulties in transferring money over. unfortunately, i guess it's not much good if you're not allowed to invest yet due to failing their questionnaire and awaiting further checks. but i think it will help people who are having difficulty with the driving license/national insurance/other ID step (oliver schick?)
