Saddle: Selle San Marco Aspide with Titanox Rails, colours match the biek perfectly, upper slightly scuffed on back right.

I want to be as honest as possible here. All the components are in really good nic, except the BB / hub bearings as mentioned. The main thing you should know is I knocked the rear mech, which bent the hanger and ever so slightly bent the dropout of the actual frame. I used to work at Condor and the mechanics have heated the dropout slightly (hence the brown marks on the paint - pictured) to get it straight again. The actualy frame is bang in line, as i say its only the actualy dropout of the frame that moved slightly. Unfortunately this means the mech hanger never sits perfectly and running gears doesn't seem to work brilliantly. I've converted it to singlespeed and have been using it for a year with no problems whatsoever.

If you are after a singlespeed setup, I believe the ENO hub is a far superior setup for cross to an EBB or horizontal dropouts. The hub doesnt slip, so you get constant chain tention and the hub can't slide diagonally in the drops either. And it doesn't creak like so many EBB's do.
Also, once gear sizes are chosen your brake pads always sit in the correct position.

Everything else on the bike has been chosen to work perfectly for cross.
The brake setup is really responsive, much better than Canti's (but do pack up with muddy grass a little easier). The cranks are super stiff and long enough to get really good power transfer.
Super strong Thomson post for remounts.
The tyres are the best tread i've found for a variety of conditions and the casing is an open tubular so there really supple.

Basically it's frickin ace, but I have to let it go :-(

    Any questions, please ask.

Looking for £650 posted or collection in Leeds.

  • That's fucking nice that!

  • thank god its not my size!

  • Cheers!

  • too nice :(

  • How can it be too nice?!?

  • What gearing did you run on it before the accident with the hanger?

  • Full Campag Veloce 9 speed silver groupo. Had the ultra-torque compact chainset with a 13-26 cassette. Was running Campag Centaur hubs with Mavic Open pro wheels. Groupset/wheels on my Scapin Road racer now. Why?

  • I'm potentially interested in the bike and know I will end up trying to fit gears to it at some stage... Just wondered what had been on there before.

  • Cool ok. Let me know

  • Need to sleep on it. If someone else dibs in the meantime so be it..

  • I've got a J-Tec drop bar shifter which you can use with an 8 Speed Sturmey Archer hub, if you wanted to try that? Can chuck it in.

  • Also forgot to mention, it weighs 8.2KG. Pretty light considering my Cervelo S2 weighs 7.6!
