This thread flows with the milk of human kindness. It makes me feel happy, more power to the OP.

So some stickers would damage the frame? Bianchi = cheese it is...
Will be nice to see the fine print of their warranty policy and see which clause of the warranty they are falling back on to void your claim. I had an issue with a high-value purchase, made the call to the customer service hotline got the "no refund" bla bla bla..., threw the fine prints in writing at them and got an apology from the European sales manager. Even gave me a little gift token too :)

VanUden has drafted an awesome little article to help nudge Bianchi in the right direction. Gonna contact them tomorrow through Push and if they are not forthcoming take it to the next level.
If not then sale of goods act will be the next step. I'll pm you for details if necessary Tiswas, cheers all. fingers crossed.

Sale of goods act doesn't count as I bought it in NYC. I'm having to try an get in touch with the US side now as bianchi Italy and uk have said no. Aparrently because I removed the decals and put ony own the decals count as an inappropriate component"

Time to get a list of names together of people that think their attitude is shite and will boycott them in the future unless they see a happy ending in this? 20,000 plus on the forum, 5% of that might do the job.

Just give it a week or two, PUSH giving them the ultimatum is already quite a strong signal that this is utter BS. If they still insist on their BS justification for not honouring the warranty, take the article provided by VanUden (havent seen it but I bet it's good) and get the response from PUSH and forward it to ALL cycling magazines, I am pretty sure someone would pick it up since the cracking seat tube issue has been a PITA and have been recurring more than once. Best still, set up a website, mybianchiismadeofcheese.com or something, post the pics of the damage and their response to your claims. The only thing is to make sure your comments are specific to your frame and not Bianchi as a whole (although with their dick response it does warrant them being called cheese/cunts/whatever).

Bianchi UK and Bianchi Italy have categorically said no. The only option now is to contact Bianchi USA as they have the power of veto as I bought the frame there.
I've emailed my NYC bike shop but no response so far.

This is so wack, how much would a replacement frame cost them? I deal with loads of bike companies concerning warranty frames, and I've never heard something so stupid. Is it really worth pissing off even one customer? Companies are beginning to realise that the power of a single person's comments can actually damage their brand name. Bianchi obviously didnt get the memo....

Keep pushing it I reckon and good luck!

Isn't it covered under a worldwide warranty? Any luck in getting the fine prints of the specific warranty clause which they are rejecting your warranty claim?

So I have a brand new Bianchi pista frame with a new warranty (which I won't be voiding by removing decals)
I went to NYC on business last week. Took my frame with me, arrived Sunday dropped the frame in on Sunday lunchtime the guys at Chelsea bikes were really cool as always. Got an email on Monday evening saying come pick up the new frame whenever you like. Just had to pay shipping of £60. That is proper customer service.
Only downside was BA fucked me, they changed their baggage allowance and now you only get one piece of hold luggage on transatlantic flights! So I had to pay £40 there and back. So all in all it cost me £140 for a frame that's only worth about £200 and something. Bum.
I was originally planning on selling it to fund something new but now I think I might just keep it as I always really liked it no matter what everyone days about pistas. The only thing is I'm not sure what year model it is. How can you check?
-
• #71
Good work! Shame about the flight charges.
Post up a picture - someone will be able to identify the year.

• #72
Just want to say a big thank you to Hassan and all the guys at push cycles newington green for trying deal with bianchi over here.
-
• #73
Still got my new frame sitting in the shed. Should I sell it or build it up as a "spare/nicer bike"?
-
• #74
Build it!!!!!!!
Cheers VanUden pm on the way
