Just visited my sister. Today she got Halfords to install mudguards and a child's seat to her new bike. The irony of her asking why people need cycle training but also recounting how riding along this afternoon with a bag of shopping swinging from the bars almost caused her to crash into an oncoming car was not lost on me. Halfords is at the end of her road, she did not even have to negotiate a single junction, just pass a couple of side roads on the way home
