  • this week i bought this:

    • Sram Red gear/brake levers
    • Sram Red rear derailleur
    • Sram Red front derailleur
    • Sram Force brakes

right now i'm counting the €€€ for the coffee tonight

    i still have to buy:

    • Sram Red compact crankset
    • 3T seatpost
    • BB (maybe a Chris King. it will depend of the €€€...)

things i wish to have for this project:

    • Zipp 202 tubular wheels
    • light pedals (must decide)
    • stronger legs for me (eh eh eh!)
  • ^Sram red crankset needs sram red BB (cups).

Seatpost, there is cheaper and lighter than that.

    Pedals -> time iclic carbon!

but Chris King headset needs Chris King BB (eh eh eh!)
you're right about the seatpost ;-)

  • what do you think about something like this?

do you think a color like that might work well with this frame?

i will not paint the fork.

  • hummm!
as i said before i like degradee but i prefer something like this

  • Was this one also brazed by Valdemiro?

  • ^^Pink can look really nice if done well

    Amazing!

Noca, chrisking BB is so expensive...

  • i bought some Sram Red parts to this project

  • Dem levers.

  • Want

  • the brakes are Sram Force, not Sram Red.

  • ^^ JB have some rep (and find me a pair of cheap-ish black S500 brake levers)

  • a new gift for the project

today i bought the sram red (black) crankset 170mm compact 50/34
Maybe i'll have it here next week :-)

  • You should paint the fork, look much more completed.

  • hummm! You're probably right edscoble but i'm still not imagining this fork with paint.
i'll have to make some tests first

  • example of painted fork to match frame;

  • ^ love Simon's Feather... fiitttttttttt

  • the fork that i have is this one
    http://www.cycle-frames.com/bicycle-frame-tubing/images/P/COL_FKR_SM_-06.jpg

it hasn't a regular shape and i can't imagine it with color. It has a "hole" for the columbus logo. But you're right about those exemples you showed me. I love to see forks with the same color as the frame but with "regular shape" forks.

i'm thinking about playing with greens and maybe leave the fork as it is (matching the carbon seatpost, carbon saddle and sram red crankset).

  • hummmm!!!

  • All so fit, but if it was my choice, top left or middle. Colour is down to personal preference and the mood you want the bike to be.

  • i only posted this to illustrate my "brain Trip color" :-)
this are not all the options that i have for the bike.
thanks for your choice loctez ;-)

  • middle top all the way
