Really nice pink track frame with risers, no breaks. Couldn't make out the writing on the frame. Opposite the Bell Hotel, yesterday around 1:30pm...
You must of been standing near me as I saw that. It was a Wes Mason.
Just joined the forum, so I don't know anyone here, and this reply is a bit late, but the guy who owns the pink Wes is a mate of mine called Matt Lawford. It might also be of interest to some of you that he's opening a bike cafe next door to Looses on Magdalen st in the next few months, but it's not official yet, so keep schtum if anyone asks.
Also, as this seems to be the most recently posted-in thread, I figure I will say hi here. My name's Alex, I'm a relative young un; just graduated from UEA, moved to Norwich, and am now an assistant mechanic at Bicycle Links. I ride an aubergine coloured, white rimmed, bullhorned Holdsworth conversion and a turquoise/raw carbon/black 90s Giant Cadex road bike. If anyone sees me out and about please say hi, would be cool to meet some people.

Hello.
Heard there was a bike cafe coming to Norwich. Hope his coffee is good.
Bicycle Links is a good place. I did a maintenance course there in the summer.

jpd: Looking at your post history it looks like you share my love of fine coffee. Maybe we need to organise a fixed forum coffee ride?

I could do something more relaxed. Like riding to the forum for a coffee at lunch.

Matt used to run a coffee shop in Colchester, and from what I've heard it was very successful, so high hopes for our one.
Also which course were you on at Bicycle Links, I've been there for about six months now, so we have already inadvertently met?
The basic maintenance one with Jason. There were only 4 of us on it. Thinking about it it was probably in the spring as we were discussing the upcoming Norwich 100.

I suggest The Little Red Roaster (market or cafe), Window Cafe, Strangers and Mustard.
A double espresso in each. Should make for a good ride.

In for coffee ride - even better this time of year :)

It was called The Bike Guru, is was one of those pop-up business type things, running out of a small space. From what I've heard there was a cafe at the front and a workshop out the back.

Ah yeah, I only started early June, so wouldn't have been around then.
Also, back on topic, is the blue Charge Plug with the brown bullhorns that is always locked outside Sin Sins anyone on here, I see that bike almost everyday...

Wow! I lived Colchester for two years and never saw it. Coffee ride sounds like a fucking great idea too.

New bike shop on Prince Of Wales Road.
Good news. I hope it's full of shiny things :-)
Hope it's decent, there aren't enough good bike shops in Norwich.
^ This.
Freemans is good. Proper old school bell-on-the-door and helpful friendly owner.
Agreed. A refreshing change from a couple of "other" bike shops around Norwich, who have fobbed me off with stories that would shame Baron Von Munchhausen!
Freemans is a good shop. Only issue is that dont go in there if your in a rush. Lol. He can talk for britain.
Ha, true, but I miss going into shops like this.
Maybe we need to organise a fixed forum coffee ride?
I'd be up for this, if not strictly fixed ( can do singlespeed ) I enjoyed the recent coffee ride around London.
even better this time of year :)
Definitely!
Oh, & hello. I'm Pete... Living around Norwich the past couple of years. Not posted on the local forum before, but I've met one of you & a couple of you will already be familiar with my questionable woodworking exploits.

I'm thinking of heading down tomorrow to have a look around. I've heard it's less your standard bike shop, but more like those Specialized Concept Stores, except this one is for Forme Bikes, who have previously only really traded online (Chain Reaction stock their range). Anybody else also think that end of PoW is an odd place for bike retail, can't see there being many people just having a browse down there, and given that street's clientele, shiny things in the windows might be quite tempting for an old smash 'n' grab...

Blue/grey, Nitto RB021, Cane Creek carbon TT levers, SLR Gel Flow?
That would be mine, although unfortunately the bars, stem, saddle, and seat post got nicked last night at 2:04am 16/11/12. Cunts.Hoping Sin-Sins and Ali Bongo's CCTV can find the swine. Second time I've had parts stolen from there, previously wheels from my road bike. Last time it took the rozzers a month to get round to viewing the camera footage, by which time it had been deleted, this time I was rather explicit in recommending they pull their fingers out.

^^ Which end of PoW is it at? I used to pop into a large(ish) shop down towards the station when I was visiting here years ago. Can't remember the name. It's been closed for quite some time now. Not that great, but they had a lot of clothing in stock.

#notarealcrimeffs.Fuck, yeah, that's the one, sorry to hear it. Been a spate of bike thefts recently, becoming a real problem in Norwich, police need to clamp down. I was riding down past that way not long before then, if I'd stayed out slightly longer I might have caught the bastards. I'll keep an eye out for your bars, they're probably distinctive enough to spot on the fly, and it's petty thieves that will be dumb enough to put them on their bike and ride around on them tilted up at a stupid angle.

That was Freewheel iirc.

That's the one, ta.
I think I was getting muddled up with Pedal Revolution. Unless I've just invented that name?

It's down the station end too, you know that space where that mattress shop used to be? According to the EDP the guy got the distribution contract and turned the shop around in a fortnight, so I'm expecting it to look a bit bare, but the bikes might be alright, mostly road/mtb from the looks of Forme's catalogue.

The bars had Fizik black soft tape on them, fucked on the RHS thanks to wet leaves/obscured manhole cover interaction two days earlier.
Fingers x'd the insurance comes good, was it a standard Charge pin, or a Thomson one, I can't quite recall?...
They're closed on Monday, although i know other places if you prefer that day.
If not, Wednesday would be fine.
