  • Couldn't pass picking this up. Nice early carbon 1988 AD. Aluminium lugs and carbon tubing.

    Not keeping it set up like this though. Triathlon setup has to go for road use and nicer parts. In some genius move Specialized clearcoated the complete frame, lugs included, which resulted in a milky fungus like corrosion on the lugs. Doesn't look pretty but too much of a hassle to fix at this time.

    Plan:
    Frame - No change
    Fork - Replace with threadless 1" carbon
    Seatpost - Replace with Carbon
    Wheels - Trispoke front rear
    Groupset - All Campa
    Handlebar - Rose Compact (from www.rosebikes.co.uk)
    Stem - Kellly steel 130mm
    Theme - All black components

    Stem and handlebars have arrived. Steel tig welded Kelly is incredibly slim, will look great with the frame.

    Next up is finding a fork and figuring out the groupset.
