We all know that's bollocks, it's not OK and never was, but some still need to justify their opinion. a lot of people (inexplicably) idolised him and find it very hard to reconcile his wrongdoing within their own ego. Choosing instead to become defensive.

But the man came back from cancer to win the Tour de France seven times. How can people accuse someone who has done so much good of anything bad? He is a saint of the modern age.

Last week Lance's lawyers offered SCA $1m to settle their claim against him. No deal.

They would only take 10¢ on the $ if they thought LA was pretty much bankrupt, which doesn't seem to be the case yet. They might want to get in before the Feds, though, because triple damages on the fraud charges are going to make a big dent even in LA's ill gotten gains.
