  • And the crankset looks cheap.

I can't help how your imagination relates the appearance of a crankset to your estimation of its price, but to me it doesn't look cheap.

  • Maybe the problem is the all-black finishing kit, makes the cranks look out of place.
Maybe its the unnattractive colourway makes everything look wrong.
    Maybe it's a bad photograph.
Maybe I should have thought more carefully about what I said.
Maybe I didn’t treat you quite as good as I should have.
Maybe I didn’t love you quite as often as I could have.
Maybe I didn’t hold you. All those lonely, lonely times.

  • Bit harsh, it's a beater. It's not a looker, but it's hardly Monsieur Praying mantis up there^^^^^^^^^^

  • Hired some mountain bikes at the weekend (mine's at my parents' house), rode through a ford which turned out to be a proper river. Mine was squeaking from the BB when we got back to the hire centre... the guy commented 'they're usually covered in mud, saves me cleaning them eh'... drove off before he realised...

FWIW I feel a bit bad about it now. Not bad enough to tell him, obviously.

  • You sure it wasn't the chain that was squeaking? MTBs are designed to take that, sweet fixeis^ not so much...

  • whats wrong with the spoke pattern, or are my eyes are just tired ?

  • Looks like a crossing too far

  • whats wrong with the spoke pattern, or are my eyes are just tired ?

first I was like "naa, they just blend in with the background'
    and then **SWEET JESUS!

  • I need these on my TT bike

Traditional bicycle rims always bring some uncertain volume of wind resistance when spinning. The bike will start decelerating immediately if you stop pedalling. Teny Rims are designed according to the Centrifugal Force and Windmill Theory so the bike will not decelerate right away.

Sprint off the line up to 30mph, coast the next 10 miles, 20:00 without any trouble.

  • haven't seen a 6 blade spinergy before. guessing they didn't name it the rev hex (but they should have done).

  • haven't seen a 6 blade spinergy before

    It's the 26" MTB version

    Centrifugal force doesn't exist.

  • Among the claims, that's your criticism? In that case, could you give those of us unfamiliar with Windmill Theory a quick bluffers' guide?

  • You sure it wasn't the chain that was squeaking? MTBs are designed to take that...

I don't think any bikes hub/bb bearings are designed to be completely submerged.

  • Well actually there was a theory put forward as to the 'ideal windmill' in the twenties by Wilhelm Hoff. It's in the nasa archives, just google it. So that one actually exists.... So yes, the centrifugal force claim is my biggest foible.

In the words of public enemy, "you're quite hostile".

  • torn between posting this here on in HHSB...

  • I love it. Definitely not anti IMO.

  • I think its pretty marmite tbh... its not porn, nor is it totally anti.... but not that functional either, and not really paint porn... so confused as to which thread it should be in...

  • HHSB because of the reasons you stated, not porn, not anti, not functional just showy offy and a bit silly but kinda cool.

  • I'd rather have
