250 pounds for a bike like this is kind of a lot of money ;o

I disagree...

I don't need to sell this bike and I certainly don't need to sell it at a loss. But I would rather benefit the forum at a time when I think it could do with it.

I'm hoping that's how the majority feel & so far it is.

Stop being so negative. The guy is offering money to the forum and someone's going to get a bike for a tender. Best of luck to him.

whilst most laudable in your efforts for raising the forum a healthy donation and at the same time not wishing to appear a negative wet blanket on creative ways of selling but I'd be wary though of not being in possession of a Gaming Licence after advertising this method on an open forum......our local pub were warned off having a summer raffle for just that reason!

great idea, i'd defo be in but the bike is far too big for me and i'd feel like a tit if i won and sold it off for a profit...

The bike is far too big for me too, but I thought it would be a great Christmas present for someone if I won - everyone knows a shortie or two and everyone knows an annoyingly tall person or two. And after all, some of the money goes back to this very forum.
