  • Ed if the softshell is not warm enough then you need to work a bit harder on the bike. Those things are like frigging ovens.

    This

Rapha phoned me today and said they have decided they made an error in declining my application and I am now in the Industry Purchase Program.

So, nice and a little less pricey for me...

Good to hear. Did they say why they looked again? Also IIRC it's not uniformly applicable to the whole range I know you're looking at a good deal on the softshell for instance where you may not be able to use it on something like the mac softshell at all.

It's a great match for the jeans tbf if you need that kind of thing in your life.

    Oh p-lease.

It's clearly made by Anderson's, who've been making that style for eons. The Uniqlo is a cheap copy.

Even M&S are in on the act (their quality is nowhere near Anderson's):

You definitely dont want tight fitting shoes or gloves in the winter.

I cycled home in thick woolen hiking socks squashed into heavily ventilated Northwave aerators last night. It was fecking miserable.

    S'why I'm on this thread.

Are the Rapha winter bib tights warm? anyone?

I did a Dr bike yesterday (meaning I'm stationary all day outdoors) in the winter tights and just about got through. On the ride home I kept my jeans on and just went with a short sleeved jersey and it was just right. (NB they aren't padded though)
