Hi all, new to the forum and just getting into riding fixed. Most of my information searches on the web seemed to end up here so I thought it was time I joined even though I'm not in London.
I started riding fixed a few weeks ago after getting annoyed with a succession of component issues on my geared bike which I used for commuting. Currently riding a £100 "MTB" which I brought years ago to ride with my young son as he learned to ride instead of the road bike. I've now built myself a rear wear (wouldn't have even attempted that a year ago) and I'm loving it even though it weighs a tonne.

Sup folks. Don't actually ride a fixie but live in whitechapel and go round london enough, and use google enough, to have made use of threads on this site repeatedly..thought it was time to sign up.

Just a quick hello, as I've just joined. I've an unbuilt Pompino taking up room in the living room and I've given myself a two week window to turn it into the new mega commuter.Expect some rather dim questions.

Neither will you be the first or the last, you'll possibly get some equally dimwitted replies too.......

Amen to that!

Hi, I'm new here, hello. Actually joined up a while ago but have kept on the down low, just using the forum for advice/general knowledge. Now I'm getting my nursery postin' out of the way

Hello, I'm new here too. After watching so many ride videos on YouTube and reading how addictive fixed-gear cycling is I figured I'd come on here to gain some knowledge and hopefully build my own bike over the coming weeks. I'm completely new to everything but aware that "Google is my friend" so i'll try not to ask any stupid questions!

Welcome, all.
Hi all. New and as some others I'm not in London (Surrey based) although do work within the M25. I also don't currently have a SS or fixed but I hang out on a Gazelle Champion Mondial (just completed the 75km route of L'Eroica on it) and also a carbon fibre Focus off the pro tour (long story). I would love to hang out with like minded people and have already started posting on the Ladies forum.
