Crossing barn road down near tkmaxx yesterday morning. black Leader 729 (I think), look carbon forks, charge bucket saddle.. Nice bike!

Guy on a white Bianchi with gold rims and hubs turning from Dereham Rd up into Bowthorpe Road today at about 3.30pm.

Bloke walking up Dereham Road with, what looked like, a brakeless trick bike built around an MTB frame. Think it was grey. Anyone here?

I'm back down in Norfolk for a few days - non-fixed, will be pure road bike and lycra. Any fancy a pootle up/down the coast or anywhere really. Plan on doing a couple 70-80km rides

Velocity is set to officially open in Prince of Wales Road today.

Based in the former home of Multiyork furniture and Blazes fireplace and mantelpiece shop, the new bike shop stocks Forme mountain and road bikes, ranging in price from £269 to £5,000.

The shop is Howard Coles’ first venture into the retail industry.

The former property developer from Poringland, who is a keen cyclist, said: “Forme offered me a dealership and it was a great offer.

“It’s a really good location and cycling is a growth industry. It grew by 30 per cent last year and this year, it’s going to grow even more than that because of the Olympic Games. The success we had in the Olympics is going to make a big difference.”

Derbyshire-based Forme was founded by former professional cyclist Adam Biggs and created in early 2010 by distribution company Moore Large.

This probably deserves its own post. Hope it's decent, there aren't enough good bike shops in Norwich.

Freemans is good. Proper old school bell-on-the-door and helpful friendly owner. He's just mended a puncture, straightened a wheel, done a full service and fitted a computer for £35.

I've no connection to Freemans. There used to be a bike shop on POW Road years ago, further up near Anglia TV.
