99.9% sure it's alu.
They swtiched to steel and relaxed the geo around that time didn't they?
My friend had one o these with the same funny soft paint and it was alu. Close ups of the welds will confirm. The steel deda ones are tiny and almost invisible. The alu has bigger ones.

It is steel, sorry for the confusion, not sure why I wrote Alloy.

^ I stand corrected.
I'd recommend these tekro levers with caliper brakes and those bars

Cheap, light, and comfortable.

Haha, oh god. Have I started something? I didn't mean to. You're right though, Winston. Scientifically, steel IS alloy. It just would've been easier to say 'steel' when describing the frame, I guess.
Hugo, thanks for the link. Like those levers a lot! Will check what else I can get cheaply but I think brakes will be one of the last things I do.

If anyone can assist me with the following for this build, that'd be amazing;
165mm Track cranks. Ideally 48t or less and relatively modern / in good shape. Something like Miche Primatos would be great.
Rear wheel with Flip-flop hub. Would like it to match the front so something generic like a silver System Ex hub on Mavic open-pro would be ideal.
Morning all,
Once again I'm really just posting this current project here to inspire me to keep it going..
Putting this together as a bit of a surprise for a lady friend of mine in the hope of getting her off the death-trap she currently rides.
So, here we have a 2003 Condor Pista (Condor Sista, if you will) with Deda steel tubing and a delicious soft-touch black paint finish, bought from the forum's very own, Hing.
It's almost certainly stiff as hell but still, I'm planning on making it a bit of a cruiser as far as track bikes are concerned. It'll be single speed with front and rear brakes with the levers attached to these natty porteur bars you see before you. It's also going to have a different saddle, perhaps an old Turbo but the rest remains to be seen.
