Tri / Triathlon / Triathlons - do they float your boat?

i did the london tri this year and its seriously not worth the money.
the website promises 'a run through the sights of canary wharf' when in fact it was through the flooded ramada hotel car park with as many hair pin bends as they could throw at it.
It was a fucking awful run, wasn't it?
