Good news and bad news, managed to buy a genuine apple power supply for the mini pretty cheap. Powered it up and got as far as wiping the disc to re-install, before it turned itself off and it won't come back on. Maybe a blown fuse inside or something, anyway, i'm fed up with it, so if you know anything about them, buy it super cheap, spare or repair.
