  • Probably costs mirrion dorrar.

  • I pay 15 pounds for my t-mobile sim only deal and have a fair use of 750mb on my "unlimited data". I think I am being diddled.

I may well call them and say I am leaving.

I'm currently with T-Mobile and they don't appear to be at all competitive in the SIM-only market, and so I'm pleased to be leaving them (despite having been with them for a good few years).

  • Bit of a departure for this thread, but it's android, so what the hell:

I just bought a sum vision cyclone nano+ on fleabay for about £70. It's a little solid state android box with Ethernet, wifi, sd card and hdmi out. You can run xbmc on it, on android or Linux, and very nicely to play back all your videos, photos etc on your tele.

Get the black one, with 1gb RAM if you want to run android (ics) or the white one with 512mb if you want to run straight Linux xbmc.

It also comes with a pretty nifty air mouse remote control with a qwerty keyboard, a bit like a wii controller for pointing.

I use it to play tv shows and movies I have downloaded, and leave it always on, plugged into the amp. Beats the hell out of trying to get dlna to work.

  • Btw, the actual hardware is a re branded geniatech enjoyTV atv500.

  • Whenever I see this thread title, I think of the song title All the single ladies by Beyonce.

  • Says the man posting in it at midnight on a Saturday night.

  • My contract runs out in january but I am getting antsy already and might not be able to wait

Got the original Galaxy at the minute, quite like the look of the S3 but am of the view that change is good. Anyone have any recommendations? I know it's not android, but the new Nokia 920 looks pretty rad

  • Nexus.

  • Urgh, I have to agree with edscoble.

  • I would get the Nexus (and I own an S3)

  • Wow, only £239 SIM-free, I guess that's that sorted then. Shame it doesn't come in yellow

    thanks guys

Good luck with that. T-mobile are massive, massive cunts.

You can only cancel your contract by phoning (no email, not in-store) and they make you hold, listening to god-awful music, for hours on end before putting you through to the wrong department, who can't help you and put you on hold again till they cut you off.
Took me around 4 hours of my life to get it done.

    Rant thread >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • Same as O2, which is why I'm stuck with them.

  • Wow, only £239 SIM-free,

I didn't expect that. Google are giving them away at cost.

    A Nexus 4+7 for £400 is crazy.

  • Wow, only £239 SIM-free...

    Where?

  • ^ Play store from 13th Nov

  • £40 extra for another 8GB seems totally worth it though.

  • thats what im getting.

  • Fantastic price that. Just hope that the build quality of LG phones has been improved.

Also tempted by the Nexus 10.

  • Looks like a Nexus Xmas @ chez dubtap. Think the wife wants a 7 too instead of a Kindle.

  • Good write up if you haven't yet seen it:

  • Apart from poor battery life and no LTE support... According to the video review...

  • The good was referring to the quality of write up, not the handset.

I leave it to the reader to decided whether they can live with the highlighted cons of the handset.

Since you've brought it up, I'm not bothered by LTE, slightly concerned about battery life.

  • The Verge disagrees with the performance and battery issues : http://www.theverge.com/2012/11/2/3589280/google-nexus-4-review

edit: but techcrunch seems to agree

  • I've read that it will give you a reach around.

    Thinking of ordering one.
