All sold! Thanks
So, 2 full bikes. Both early 80s.
1) SOLD
Carlton Super Corsa - full 531db frame (double butted), 531 forks.
54cm c-c square again.
Built in '81, this was the last year of Carlton's independence before they were bought by Raleigh and Gerald O'Donovan, their lead builder moved to Raleigh's Special Products Division in Nottingham. Gerald supervised the building of all the top marque frames.
The Super Corsa was built with the same frameset as the Carlton Pro but less illustrious parts.. It was second in their line-up.
The paint has numerous scrapes and chips, with some superficial rust showing. The 531 decal is damaged too. There is one very shallow dent in the middle of the top-tube (I have ridden it for 2 years with this - it was caused by the bike falling on its D-lock).
Anyway, this one has the following - some apparently original, others, stuff I have added:
Wheels:
Front - Miche Superfast hub laced to Mavic MA40 ceramic rim
Rear - Normandy Competition Luxe hub to Weinman alloy rim.
1 hardly used gatorskin, 1 well used gatorskin with plenty of life yet and no squared patches..
*Drivetrain: *
Suntour Cyclone Mk.1 rear mech.
Drilled Heuret front (to match the chainset!)
Very rare fully drilled Raleigh chainset with 52, 42 rings (plenty of life)
KMC X.8 chain >100 miles
11-28 7 speed freewheel >100 miles
Weinmann 605 brakes with decent pads
Weinmann brake levers with cracked gum hoods - but they are fine really.
Suntour power ratchet friction shifters.
Brooks Colt saddle - very unusual 70s version with beautiful touches like the side binding and good rails (marks as you would expect but see the photos..)
GB seatpost and clamp (27.2mm and moving fine).
SR 80mm stem
Unbranded chrome bars
Cinelli cork tape (natural colour but quite dirty!) with a cut on one side so may need a change soon.
Bertrand Lyotard pedals with MKS medium clips and leather straps.
Freshly greased and adjusted cup n cone bb (can't remember what but it is quite nice and very smooth)
Rear wheel is very smooth and has been greased with new bearings earlier this year. Front hasn't but is still smooth.
Also included is a very vintage (read rather battered) grey Carridice saddlebag. There is a small hole in it, one of the straps has broken and is replaced by a humble zip-tie, and the compression straps inside are broken.
PRICE £185 collected Brighton / London or £200 posted. - SOLD

2) SOLD
531st (super tourist) Swinnerton Cycles CUSTOM built tourer - Built by the famous Roy Swinnerton for some dude in '82 as far as he remembers!
Chromed chainstay and chrome boots on forks. 531 Forks.
Measurements are **54cm c-c **square.
Some minor bubbling of paint under top tube due to rust (water seeped in through cracked paint on cable guides)
One or two rub marks but no chips, dents or gouges in paint down to the metal..
Record front hub laced to Wobler Super Champion Module 58 rim
Functional Quando laced to a Rigida touring rim (original Record Hub is included if you want to build it again - the rim got trashed)
These are both 27'' wheels for that perfect touring setup!
Both re-greased and cleaned in the last 4 months with minimal use since.
**Brakes **are Dia Compe - Gran Compe GC960 canti's with Deore XT pads.
**Levers **are beautiful drilled Weinmanns.
Shifters are Simplex friction.
Front derailleur is Suntour Cyclone mkII (with a bodged cable guide addition that works fine)
Rear is Sach-Heuret New Success long cage
Cranks are legendary Stronglight 99 BIS drilled with the original drilled 48t and a new undrilled 28t - yes it works perfectly. (Included is a new 42t, and the original drilled 36t) Both originals have plenty of life left. This crankset can be set up as a triple if you get some extra-long chainring bolts and spacers from Spa Cycles - bolt goes through all 3 rings.
7 speed 13-32 mega range touring freewheel hardly used (useful for hauling 60kg panniers up mountains!)
KMC X.8 full silver chain again little use,
Pedals are classic Pd-A550s (Shimano 105) with toeclips and leather straps.
Headset is a Tange job.
BB is Tange also (UN-71 quality) - pretty new > 500 miles
Seatpost is unbranded alloy.
Stem is a Cinelli 100/110mm (not sure which)
**Bars **are Cinelli Giro D'Italia
Saddle is a slightly battered Concor Supercorsa in brown suede
Bartape is Fizik honey Superlight - needs changing soon.
Tyres are a Schwalbe Marathon Plus 32mm at rear and Conti Ultra Sport 25mm a la front. Both have lots and lots of life left - the Marathon especially!
Included is a Jim Blackburn ** rack** and front and rear aluminium mudguards.
I think thats it!?
