Following the awful death of a 5 year old boy on St George’s Rd recently, a number of groups have started a campaign to try to get TfL to address the appalling roads which they control in and around the Elephant & Castle. We've produced a document which I can PM as requested which outlines just how dangerous these roads are for cyclists and pedestrians in particular and proposes a number of measures to make them safer in the short-term. This document will be sent to Isabel Dedring at TfL once we have increased the number of local organisations supporting it.
**
In addition there is an online petition: http://tiny.cc/rh2tmw**
We are planning a day of action on** Friday 16th November in the Elephant & Castle** area when we will try to get as many petition signatures as possible.
We are hoping that this will indicate to TfL just how strong the feelings are about these roads. If you could support this, spread the word, sign it, tweet it etc. that would be great.
