I work central and live Mile End way so am happy for collection/meeting somewhere within reason. Will also post at extra cost. And of course open to offers!

    PM for more photos/questions. Cheers!

  • How much on the frame?

  • Oh Yeah, good point! Sorry. Looking for £100 inc fork and headset

  • Oh fucking hell, this is what I have been looking for. 60cm 531.... but I can't, I need to get the bike up and running with the frame it has got first. Will prob regret not getting it, and will subsequently never find one. But really, money....

Anyhow.... just out of curiosity, what is that sort of curly looking thing on the frame where the front mech would hang?

  • It's the brazed on mech hanger (as opposed to a band on type) where the front mech screws. Gotta say I'd be keeping it if it fitted me:-)

  • Oh oh oh! is the Centaur BB 111mm? If so dibs dibs dibs please. I'm in Bow right now. Very close to Mile End.
    Thanks.

  • ^^ well sure, and it does fit me. I have a white frame now, but it's 27" wheel specific so needing long drop brakes. Want to get a tighter frame, and this does look good. But really, I should get what I have built and play with it a bit first. If I like road cycling then maybe I will look to smarten up.... but for now. No.

  • Yip, BB is 111mm. Have PM'd ya

  • Fair do's Andrew. Pretty sure you'll get hooked on road cycling though, 27" wheels or not!

  • Just replied by long text. Got excited. Should have just PMed.
    Cheers.

  • Not 27" wheels. 700s in a 27" frame, thus the long reach brakes.

I am a cyclist of yore, but did not really do road stuff until I did the DD this year on this (http://i1302.photobucket.com/albums/...7-01063649.jpg) - single speed mountain bike - ten hours give or take. Next year I want to go back and own it - eight hours or something. So I thought I would start with an old bike... which is what I got.

And like I say, need to get it running and get out on it before I spend more time fixing it up!!

  • Sorry, have hijacked thread... I will go now.

  • nice, good work!

  • no worries man, it's all good.

  • Dibs braze-on mech, PM follows

  • How does 20 sound for the 85mm stem & leather tape?

  • Thanks Dude. Should be good.
Glad you liked Pinarello (he's named after himself) and good luck with the Merckx.
    Cheers.

  • Dibs 26.8mm post for a mate

  • Aaaand... undibs

  • Thanks to NorthLondon and Green Wheels over there, pleasure doing business.

    Seskin you have PM.

  • Are the miche brakes a pair?

  • Yep, priced for the pair

  • Perfect, Dibs.

  • And the black ITM Stem....

  • Really sorry Gordo, just been beaten to it by Mode.

Brakes and Seat post provisionally sold.
