  • MHL chinos fit (me, anyway) like a dream and are ace quality.

  • his fancy new clothes don't seem to have made him very happy

  • this is next year country...

  • his fancy new clothes don't seem to have made him very happy

That is because he's about to be punched in the guts and have his lunch money taken.

He looks like a glass of water.

  • Um.... I am currently dressed like this.

  • but hotter

  • Anyone use nuji?

  • Amazon wishlist - if using Chrome is the best thing to create shopping lists.

    Is it basically like svpply?

  • going in to town to buy the relaxed wool trousers this weekend.

I also have my eye on a work coat from the shop near Camden rd - it's a fucking steal and looks good. (quite like the A.P.C donkey jacket, sans the leather shoulder patches)

    Made in England as well.

  • Got a donkey jacket out of some camping shop in Camden the other week, lovely stuff, only 50 sheets, should be good for a few years

  • Wrote a long email to Baracuta about their strategy going forward too, hope they get back. Great old English company who make the best harringtons bar NONE. But they've cheapened the fuck out of the brand by doing loads of shite versions of their jackets, in useless colours, naff accessories and loads of tat no one's going to buy. The result of which is they're constantly spamming me with MORE ITEMS IN SALE, FURTHER REDUCTIONS emails. Mates, just bite the bullet and sell the lot off at a quid a piece on some special mini-website, clean up the main site and do the following: concentrate on keeping good stocks of your basic harringtons in black, navy, beige, red and maroon. Do a few special editions in melton wool, Harris tweed, that sort of thing. Branch out into a few well chosen, well made classics like a pea coat in black, navy and camel, lined with the Fraser tartan. Do a really good mac. Perhaps some tapered chinos, your lovely penny loafers and a tasteful range of knitwear. Focus! Be small, be good.

  • Couldn't agree more Crispin.

Good, well-fitting trousers are so hard to find. Just bought two pairs but it tok ages to find what I wanted and then get them tailored to fit perfectly

They've just been bought by an Italian luxury goods company so hopefully they'll sort them out

  • So the missus has hinted at earrings for her birthday, which is next weekend...can anyone suggest good places to start looking??

The budget is around £50 and I think I know what she likes (!) namely vintagey and not loud in any way. Prerequisites would be that they could be worn everyday and also gold(plated) as anything else gives her some sort of reaction.

I was going to check out Spitalfields market tomorrow, though I realise I could be asking a lot for 50 sheets, but this seems as good a place as any to start.

    Good aren't they?

  • Good for cycling too.
    Should slice through air.

  • I recommend you try Links: http://www.linksoflondon.com/gb-en/online-shop/women/earrings

Some nice grey/black pearls would be suitable for daily wear. At least that's what I wear most.
