In the meantime you could try in the Any Questions Answered thread, MDCC tester is normally found in there and he has an encyclopaedic knowledge of all things beik, even if he is prone to being condescending.

SallysBikes, you may be wondering where your post has gone.

Let me explain.

1) You registered less than a day ago.
2) Your registration email appears to go to no verifiable identity on the web.
3) Your only post constitutes defamation.
4) You offer no proof of your claims.
5) It was reported by other users.

As the post was defamatory, and you have offered no proof, and you appear to be using an alias (hiding your identity), and finally that it's been reported, I end up having to weigh up the balance of the post. Now that it has been reported I personally (as site admin) cannot hide behind the EU e-commerce directive as being a mere conduit... so if I continue to allow the defamation to be published I can be held liable... hence... it's being removed.

Please do not consider this censorship though. If you wish to disclose who you are, show your proof, and explain yourself... then you can change defamation into fact and make yourself liable for your statements. In which case, feel free to post.

Otherwise, please do not use the forum for what I suspect is a personal vendetta or source of malice.

I think the nursery scheme is great idea, at least in principle. Forcing newbies, such as myself, to have a sniff before bombarding the forum with new threads will undoubtedly reduce if not eliminate at least some of the spam, present comment excluded of course.

Having said that - something that struck me straight away - pointless, ignorant, harsh and often ill meant replies, as oppose to “friendly ribbing” seems to be a far greater problem than I would imagine stupid questions could ever be, but I guess that’s just the nature of any internet forum or so-called social media…

In any case, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for a great forum, and I’m looking forward to draw on and hopefully contribute to the knowledge base, let alone share my passion for cycling.

• Taya Turbo 900 Chain plus new sigma Connector, fitted with vitrually no miles
  
• Shimano 105 BR-1055 front and rear brakes with 49mm drop and new pads fitted
  
  

I also have mint 105 sti 8 speed shifters that I am going to list over the next few days.

Hello I am new to this forum and am a keen roadie and mtb rider. Are members also interested in tips and hints for fixing mountain bikes as well as road bikes. Managed to find a shimano middle ring that works perfectly on a raceface evolve crankset. The cost of the part was only £12 versus £48 for the race face part. The modification worked perfectly. Anyone interested or is this not of interest?

Have just managed to get a place on the Caledonia Etape in Pitlochry next year. I did the Durham Etape and A wheelbase event in Windermere this year. I think the Durham Etape had a very tough Hill section but after the event I look back and felt that it was a great run and great scenery (most of it upwards)
