Level Super Professional NJS

I’ve been secretly wanting to have track frames like Colnago, Merckx or De Rosa but can't afford them so distracted myself in building road bikes instead, but when this came up I couldn’t resist anymore.

So I got Level Super Professional NJS frame. Didn’t really plan it but love the paint job! Initially it was going to be built with campag pista groupo but it’s been real slow in gathering the bits so it’ll be built with what I have.

First up Hatta headset and Nitto 65 stem:

Next Hatta bb, 75 crank, MKS njs pedals and cage with toshi straps

Then wheelset. Collected clinchers yesterday, thanks to Gaz1979!

Will be collecting Nitto drop bar tomorrow from a forumenger. That’ll be it for now. What saddle do you guys think I should get?

Saddle wise, white concor? What bar tape were you thinking? Perhaps black saddle and black tape actually.

Seriously though, props for doing a Level.

I love this builder one of my friends in Tokyo (owner of Tempra Cycle) knows the owner of Level and is arranging a tour when I'm over in December!

@dglshrn @skully: lol yea it's just a paint crack, what else could it be, that my bb shell cracked? I'm thinking of off-white/creme grip but couldn't find one, so I guess it'll be white. As for the saddle I think it'll be white as well, which I happen to have. It's a rolls, will change it sometime in the future.

So I'll have to pass on your offers guys @1000archangles @xDomX, thanks though. As for the seatpost, I already have it. Here it is with the saddle:

but if i can just say..... i would totally stay away from white saddle in grips (white contect points never stay white) and i wouldnt do anymore gold. black and one more complimentary colour and it would be banging. but thats just me.

Well, a crack in the BB was unlikely, I realise.

be careful with white and gold parts, it can look horrific. there's enough white and gold in the paint, so go for silver and black parts, then the frame itself will stand for its own

I'll have to postpone bar collection due to shortage in fund so will post updates tomorrow this weekend. Hopefully there'll be sun too like today.

Nice, but I would take the real thing NJS every time over the Brother. Always had a soft spot for Level too. But that's just me. Good luck with the project.
