  • I think Outlier really do make excellent trousers.

    Expensive yes, but excellent

  • This month I have bought and sold coats - still on the search for the one.

In the mean time, had a couple of pairs of hackett and ralph chinos tailored to a really nice fit.

    Shoesies are the next acquisition

  • I came on here to bemoan the 'sexy boyfriend' cut jean.

Sexy boyfriend? What does that mean exactly?

Christ, the gap between my fashion vocabulary and the fashion world widens at an alarming rate.

  • A few girls make them look awesome.

For most I'd say stay well away - horror show waiting to happen

  • ^ And that's sexy because....?

How is this different from a regular 'boyfriend cut'?

Granted, I am a straight female so perhaps not the best judge.

  • boyfriend jeans

Only brand I see doing 'sexy' versions are Gap. And they very rarely make anything at all sexy

  • I thought you were asking what was sexy about boyfriend jeans - misscomms

  • 'Boyfriend' jeans are supposed to imply that a girl has borrowed said jeans from an imaginary boyfriend, yes? Well, now the imaginary boyfriend is SEXY.

  • I'm going to patent Platonic Pedal-pushers.

  • And comedy chords.

  • How about one night stand t-shirts?

  • Or on-off jumpers.

  • Or 'I'm leading you on' bracelets.

  • Oh yes. Love that!

    Walk of Shame Stockings?

    Jubilant Jeggings.

  • How about one night stand t-shirts?

I have these - Uniqlo white/black, Small, always 2 unopened in my draw

Or 'I'm leading you on' bracelets.

I like the sound of these

    Walk of Shame Stockings?

Nah - there's usually nothing left of them

'Outlier, excellent but a bit expensive' thread >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • Couldn't see anything in a quick search, so here's my question.......

I simply cannot find a pair of jeans that fit me. The last batch I bought was in the US & the last pair of those is on the way out now. To get anything in my waist size ( 36" on a good day ) means I can barely get them over my thighs. This must be a fairly common problem with cyclists, so I thought I'd ask on here.

As you might appreciate, I desperately didn't want to start a thread titled "Hey everybody, my thighs are too big!"

Being a man of a certain age, I hate going clothes shopping! Other than acquiring a time machine & going back to the 90's can anyone suggest any ( cheapish ) brands that I could look out for? No point getting expensive, as they'd be primarily for work.

  • Fook me I remember dressing up my 2 year old in something similar for a photo shoot to be used in anger when he's older.

You either bought that in an Oxfan shop for a bet or you need to go to Specsavers pronto ;o)))

Nowt wrong with a bit of colour. Granted they are heavy on the technicolour vybe but I do have a thing for a nice fair Isle. TKMaxx had some amazing stuff from Ralph (not in my size) that left me permanently on the look out. Would have gone for the YMC but the shaping was shit.
